10 a.m.-Noon: East Bayside Neighborhood clean-up organized by Friends of Casco Bay
Noon-2 p.m. Gather at Orange Bike Brewing for a post-cleanup brew
Meet: Toad & Co, 31 Diamond Street, Suite B, Portland
We will provide all the supplies necessary, including trash bags and gloves. However, there are a few things to note before participating in a clean-up:
- Please dress for the weather and the tasks. We will provide medical gloves, but you may wear work gloves if that will be more comfortable. We encourage you to consider long sleeves, sturdy pants, and a raincoat in case of rain. Work boots, hiking boots, or sneakers are great footwear for the event.
- Everyone should bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, bug spray, and some snacks to maintain their energy. Any participant with allergies should bring their meds.
- We will be tracking what we pick up as it provides valuable information for our work. You can download the Clean Swell App before arriving for the event. You can create your own account or use the username: volunteer@cascobay.org and the password: cascobay. Only one person per every 4 participants needs to do this. We will also walk you through how to do this at the event so don’t stress ; )
