Watch our conversation with host Communications Coordinator Meghan Vigeant and five talented young artists from the Maine College of Art & Design. Their research and artwork center on some of the issues we care deeply about at Friends of Casco Bay—PFAS, stormwater pollution, eelgrass, climate change, and environmental justice.
In this recorded webinar, MECA&D students Mac Craig, Francy Hinds, Jo Ophardt, Caine Villarreal, and Perci Schumacher share images of their artwork and reflect on their creative process. They talk about what concerns and inspires them about Casco Bay’s future, and how they see art playing a vital role in environmental awareness and advocacy.
This forum is part of a collaboration between MECA&D, Friends of Casco Bay, and professor Deb Debiegun, who also serves on our Board of Directors. It celebrates the power of art to connect people with science, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire real change.
