The raffle is now closed. Join us on Thursday, September 6 at 4pm as we draw the winning raffle ticket at Allagash’s brewery, 50 Industrial Way, Portland. Winner need not be present to win. We will announce the winner via email following the drawing.
More than 100 Friends of the Bay bought raffle tickets for chances to win the surfboard, raising more than $4,000 for our work to protect the health of our waters.
The Board: Grain Surfboards Sapling
Dimensions: 8’ x 22 3/4” x 2 5/8”
Weight: 17 lbs
Fin set-up: 2+1 (center fin box + FCS sidebites)
Material: Hand-crafted using sustainably forested Northern White Cedar, with accents of reclaimed Western Red Cedar.
Valued at: $2,300
This specific board was specially made in conjunction with Allagash Brewing to support Friends of Casco Bay’s efforts to protect the coastal waters we all love.
The Sapling model is Gran’s higher volume egg, or fun-shape. This is a great all-around board, with plenty of float for easy paddling and wave-catching, but has a slimmer, elegant outline to maintain maneuverability. Trim out with the longboarders on smaller days, or arc some graceful carves when it gets bigger.
This board is Grain Surfboard’s best candidate for a one-board-quiver.
