Curt Mildrum, Yankee marina’s General Manager and Joe Payne, Casco Baykeeper

Well, it’s a New Year, and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a year filled with lots of excitement, that’s for sure!

We started the year by meeting with the guys at Yankee. Joe, myself, General Manager Curt Mildrum, Mechanical Service Manager Dana Jensen, Service Manager Adam White, and Project Manager Tim Raymond. We sat around looking at the boat, drinking coffee, discussing the various aspects of work to be done. Before we met at the boat that morning, Dana had pulled Joe and me aside and said “I’m glad you guys are here and want you to check on the boat often, BUT I have only one request – that you bring me a cup of coffee every time you come. Now I don’t go for that fancy Starbuck’s stuff – I’ll take a good old cup of regular coffee, that’s how I like it.” Dana is wicked into his coffee, and at the time he was sucking on a huge cup from McDonalds. Later that day, I chuckled at the fact that we now have to have a coffee expense account for this project, a huge expense we didn’t factor in, and I hope it doesn’t break the bank…….
