Nov 18: Full Moon Dip with Two Maine Mermaids

A group of women in bathing suits and hats pose by the water's edge in fall.

Ready to make a splash this fall? Join Friends of Casco Bay and Two Maine Mermaids for a November Full Moon Dip at Willard Beach on Monday, November 18!

Before we take the plunge, Friends of Casco Bay will share updates on our efforts to protect places like Willard Beach. Then, it’s into the water we go — rain or snow,  warm or windy, we’re ready to embrace the Bay’s magic!

This Full Moon Dip is a chance to connect with nature, our bodies, and each other. Whether you’re a seasoned dipper or a first-timer, everyone is welcome. You might go all in, or just up to your toes–find what works for you.

Helpful Dip Tips

  • Enter the water slowly to ease your body into the experience.
  • Warm Essentials: Warm hat, warm mittens or gloves, and Neoprene booties or wool socks for the water.
  • A blanket or towel to lay out your things.
  • A second towel or warm robe to dry off.
  • Bring a light (or two) since it’ll be dark.
  • Warm, easy-to-get-on layers to slip into after the swim. Consider including dry gloves, a hat and socks.
