Frame the Bay 2024 Winners

Lighthouse emerges from the fog at dawn with 3 birds flying past the top
Frame the Bay 2024 Best in Show winner: Spring Point Ledge by Petar Strbac

For the second annual Frame the Bay we invited folks to send us their best images of Casco Bay and the watershed. More than 150 photographs from 50 photographers poured into our inboxes. It was evident how much Casco Bay means to these photographers. We were struck by the composition of birds in flight, the haunting nature of fog, and the colorful personas of fishermen. There were lots of tough choices for our panel of esteemed judges: Kevin Morris, Sandy Marsters, and Lindsay Becker, but they managed to narrow it down to three winners in each category and one Best in Show winner.

Our 2024 contest featured four categories: Scenic, Wildlife and Animals, Student Photography, and Diversity of the Bay – which we defined as “how Casco Bay is used by all walks of life,” such as working waterfront, recreation, and inspiration.
